I recently thought it might be fun to try painting dragons into existing photos, as a way to practice working with some more realistic color palettes and tones... Instead of hunt around and try to find royalty free images, I thought I would ask you all, to see if any of you have photos that might need an additional dragon or two.

If I pick a photo to work with, I'll definitely cite the original source of the photo, too. So, if anyone has an interesting nature photo or two that I could use, maybe post a link.
It might be a fun thing to try.

Well, I made my Alicorn print public on Shapeways.
I've had really good, positive feedback from people that I've shown my printed version to, and some people seem to be interested in it.
So, I played a bit of Tetris with the pieces in the print layout, and I think it's ready now!

My test print is made from White Strong and Flexible, but I've allowed the design to be printed with a few other colors, as well.
Do you think I should upload Earth Pony, Unicorn, and Pegasus variations of this, as well?

Also, let me know if you have any questions or comments about the design.
I'm rather inexperienced with 3D modeling, but it's always fun to learn new things.

I'll try to put together a guide on how to assemble it, when I get some more elastic, too. That's what I was waiting for, at first, but kept getting side tracked.
I figure it's better to upload the design, and let people enjoy it, than just let it sit...

I just got back from my first trip to AC. It was a ton of fun. I ran into many awesome artists in the social area of things. and were especially inspiring to talk to.
The Nordgard release went really well, too. Everyone was pleased with my artistic contributions.

Overall, I'm rather inspired to get on top of things and become active again. I deleted some info stacks that felt unmanageable, so I apologize if I've missed a few comments since I was active, but everything feels all fresh again, now.

Well, it looks like we're hanging on, for now. We made it through the holiday season, but things are still rather touch-and go. I'm still rather worried, but a bit more hopeful, at least.

I've been getting antsy to make some more art. I have a new dragon mask almost done, but I'll probably wait until spring, for it to warm up enough to paint outside.

I'm not good at this at all... I like to try and keep my journals and things focused on art, and when I can't say something constructive, I usually don't post at all. Life/drama journals just aren't my style...
So, I apologize in advance for this one.

Anyway, I work at a family business, Team Technology. I really enjoy working there, and it was my dad's dream. We are Apple specialists, but recently Apple has been making things very difficult, in many ways. We've made it through some tough spots before, but it looks like we're might have to close down...
As a result, morale here is quite low, for both me and my father. A few years ago, I left an engineering job to help the store, and to have a bit more time to pursue art, but the current situation has us both feeling like failures.

To anyone who reads this, or cares about it: I am glad that my art has been able to brighten your day.

I don't know where I'm going with this... but, I will try to keep making art and things. I got to see some fun speedpainting techniques at Midwest Furfest that I want to try out, and I want to improve my Guilmon costume, and make another new one, too... Nargacuga, or Sam and Max perhaps... so I don't want to just give up on things...
It's just things are rather tough right now, I guess.
